A demonstrator group that I'm apart of SUDSOL offers lots of challenges to keep your creative mojo going. I decided this week to take part for the first time in the Design Challenge which was to use only black and white and you could use a touch of color. This also fell right in line with a swap I'm in at CardSwappingForFun that is called POP of Color, it's a black/white card with a POP of color somewhere on the card, so these two worked together perfectly, nothing better than killing two birds with one rock (by the way I hate that saying, don't know why I used it???)
As a side note I was sure this challenge would be easy to do as I love very clean simple cards, but using only the black and white was much harder than I anticipated! The front is stamped in Craft White ink using the Embrace Life stampset and grosgrain ribbon is added for a beautiful touch of color. On the inside the same stampset is used but stamped on Whisper White with Basic Black ink, I used the three flower punch to add a couple of little red flowers. I was happy with the end result even though it was harder than I thought, I hope you enjoy it to.
