Simple Sweet Stems

Today's offering is one I'm calling Simple Sweet Stems because that is exactly what it is! Simple and Sweet. I saw one like this on SCS and knew I had to make one. I actually made one in all 6 of the 2008/2009 InColor inks and they all turned out beautifully. The Pacific Point and the Tangerine Tango were the prettiest though because of that gorgeous stripped grosgrain ribbon it is just beautiful stuff! I think these will make fast and wonderful gifts for wedding showers and birthdays as gifts, so handy to have on hand for them to jot a quick note or thank you to someone. Well that was my inspiration, now here are the details.

Card Details:

  • Card Size 5-1/2 X 4-1/4, top open
  • Stamp Set - Sweet Stems, Hugs & Wishes
  • Paper - Tangerine Tango, Whisper White

  • Accessories - 5/8" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Masking

Now this card is so fun and simple everyone can do it. Don't' forget to call or email me to get your own supplies to make this great card. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon!

Owl Party

My Upline Jaycene Morgan loaned me the Owl Together Now stamp set. This is one of the cards I came up with using the set. It turned out pretty cute and worked well for a challenge offered up by the LateNightStampers group.
I stumbled upon this card layout on SCS but I'm sorry I don't remember who the original poster was, but thank you just the same for the inspiration! (Post note! As it would turn out the original poster was on one of the groups I posted to and contacted me so I now know who to thank for this great card, it was Fran Sabad, thank you so much Fran!!) I think these Window Frame type cards are just so cute. I can just picture this cute little owl setting outside my window, however if he did that it would cause my dogs to have a stroke trying to get to him :-(

Another thing I got to use on this card that is really fun is the masking technique. I used that on the sun. It's just a simple process of coloring in the negative areas of a punch or something cut out, very easy but lots of fun. Well the card info is listed below, thanks so much for stopping by for a look.

Card Details:
  • Card Size - 5-1/2 X 4-1/4
  • Stamp Set - Owl Together Now
  • Paper - Kraft, Always Artichoke, Very Vanilla, Manhattan DSP
  • Ink - Close to Cocoa, Always Artichoke, Baja Breeze, Summer Sun
  • Accessories - Jumbo Pewter Eyelets, Designer Label Punch, 1" Circle Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Crop-a-dile, Blender Pen

Let me know if I can help in getting you the supplies and tools to make this cute card. I would love to help you out!

Color Challenge Punch Card

Color Challenges are always great fun. I love colors, in fact I think you could call me a color collector, does that sound familiar to any of you out there?? If there are 100 colors available I MUST have them all! But at the same time I'm a bit color challenged! Colors that I put together don't always look wonderful. I think that is why I enjoy color challenges so much because someone with more color savvy than myself has chosen the colors and they normally turn out much more pleasing to the eye than my choices!! LOL The colors for this particular challenge were Garden Green, Riding Hood Red, Night Quite Navy and Bashful Blue. Very eye pleasing!!! Once again I saw this card on another blog and for the life of me I can't find or remember where I saw it so that I could give you credit. If you see this and it's your design please let me know so that I can give you the credit you deserve. I made two versions of this card the one on the right very simple basically single layer, the one on the left has several layers of matching card stock. They both are very pretty and neither was difficult to put together. Also not much stamping on this one.
This would be a great card to get your feet wet on for a first time card maker, call or email me if you're ready to give it a try!
Thanks for stopping by and see you in a day or two.

Happy St. Patrick's Day FUN!!

Happy Monday everyone! I'm very excited about bringing you this card today. In my blog hopping for inspiration I came across the very talented Connie Babbett and her wonderful St. Patrick's Day card. Stampin'Up! offers a great St. Patty's day set but it was a set that I could see me only using one time a year. I really wanted to make a St. Patrick's Day card but didn't want to buy the set for a couple of cards per year! Then I stumbled on this card on Connie's site. When I find an inspirational project I try to tweak it to make it my own but this card was so perfect as it was that I basically left it as Connie had designed it. The only difference is I didn't have the DSP paper that Connie used so I made my own! I used the Forever Flowers Stampin Around wheel with the Garden Green classic ink, it turned out very nicely for a background and I used a differnt heart stamp for the clover leafs.

The card is a nice large one, the base is Chocolate Chip, then a Garden Green layer with the handmade patterned Certainly Celery card stock on top of that. I then added two strips of 5/8" stitched Chocolate Chip grosgrain. The final layers are Garden Green layered lastly with Whisper White. The clover leafs were layered on to the Whisper White with a clear rhinestone brad for the center to add a touch of bling. Overall a very fun card to make and very pretty too!!

Let me know if you want to make one of these cards for yourself, I'll be more than happy to help you do that :)

As always thanks for stopping by for a look today, see you soon!

Sweet Bella's Bloom

Hello Everyone!

I've got a really pretty card for you today. I used the set called Bella's Bloom for the image and the sentiment on this card. It is a normal 5.5 X 4.25 card base of Kiwi Kiss, the only difference is that it opens from the top rather than the side. I used the Bella Rose DSP for the circle, which is so pretty paired with the Kiwi Kiss from the base. The circle is then cut in half and adhered to the base with the two half being staggered in their placement. On top of that is a block of Riding Hood Red and Pink Pink Pirouette. The image is stamped on Shimmery White card stock, this stuff is so pretty if you not used it you should treat yourself and get some, so very elegant, the image ink is Riding Hood Red on the blooms and Kiwi Kiss for the stems. For the sentiment I stamped on a Designer Label punch and sponged around the punch with Riding Hood Red ink. Really pretty and very easy to make!

Card Stuffs:
  • Card Stock - Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Shimmery White
  • Stamps - Bella's Bloom
  • Ink - Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss

  • Accessories - Designer Label punch, Creative Memories cutting system, Sponge Daubers

I really appreciate you stopping by to check out the blog. Be sure to contact me if you need any of these items to make your own Sweet Bella's Bloom card. Hope you are having a great weekend and I'll blog at you soon!
