Three Clovers Challenge & Planning for Father's Day

I am really into challenges these days, I wonder how I ever motivated myself prior to that! lol First let me begin by apologizing for this picture today, I'm not kidding I took it at least two dozen times, I took it in my normal spot with all my OTT work lights, I took it with a flash, without a flash, during the day, on about 5 different settings on my camera and still it appears a bit blurry. I finally gave up and picked the best of the two dozen and decided to post as it appears here. I am very sorry for the quality. I simply can't understand how they turn out so good sometimes and then like this others.........OK deep breaths and I'm letting it go........aaahhhh.

Anyway, I used the Thoughts of Father stamp set, I believe this is one of the best values in our Stampin' Up! catalog. It has great images for father's day or any male card you might be needing to make but besides that the images are just beautiful and could be used for so many themes. This set sales for only $15.95 if you can believe that! The Three Clovers challenge this week was a color challenge - Rose Red, So Saffron and Always Artichoke, these are three of my most favorite colors so it was easy! The card layout came from a swap card I received from Shannon over on another yahoo group I am apart of called CardSwappingForFun is not a huge group but there are some talented ladies in the group and we have some fun swaps. Check it out if you are interested.
Card Details:
  • Base Card - 5-1/2 x 4-1/4 Gate folded - folds are on the 2-3/4 & 8-1/4
  • Paper - Rose Red, So Saffron, Always Artichoke, Watercolor paper
  • Ink - Black Stazon, Rose Red, Saffron, Always Artichoke
  • Accessories - Always Artichoke Brads, Tool Kit, Dimensionals, Blender Pens

Thanks so much for stopping by and looking. See you next time.

Wow! beautiful card! The colors are perfect with this image. The pic thing happens to all of us...why? Who knows! It drives me bananas though, too! LOL!

Wonderful card! Thanks for joining in this week and hope you join the challenge tomorrow! A tip my son gave to me with my little point and shoot digital...always choose the macro stting (the little tulip) and turn off your flash. Wait for camera to focus and then take the pic. I have not had any problems since! I struggled for ages until I started doing this. Don't forget your light tho! That part I am still working on LOL!
